MCM Trucking LLC. was established in 1982 by 3 partners, including Kimberly, ID local Everett Miller. Everett’s son, Joe Miller took over the operations in 2001 and with Joe at the helm, MCM Trucking experienced exponential growth and became a leader in the potato industry. Joe created MCM Loading, LLC., which specialized in the loading and storage of potatoes and MCM Logistics, Inc., specializing in the brokerage of raw commodities.
After many years of leadership and with retirement looming, Joe made the decision to handpick and pass the operations on to the next caretakers of MCM in 2023. The new owners, Brett Thompson and Amanda Ricketts, are a brother/sister duo born and raised in southern Idaho. Their father, Rich Thompson, also started his own trucking company (Rich Thompson Trucking, Inc.) in 1982 and both Brett and Mandy have been involved in various ways their entire lives. More specifically, they took over the operations of Rich Thompson Trucking when their dad passed away in 2019. Drawing upon the foundation and history of two family owned and operated companies has proven to be successful, and Brett and Mandy are honored to continue the MCM Trucking principles and values.
